Robin Carter - Conductor: Robin has lived and worked in Boston since 1970. Born in King's Lynn, Robin started singing as a choirboy and then moved into the brass band world with the King's Lynn Town Band. An enthusiastic amateur, Robin has been involved in music all his life and, since moving to Boston, has at various times played with Kirton Brass Band, conducted Skegness Silver Band, been Choirmaster of his local church choir and sung, with the Boston Choral Society. At other times he has organised and led his own choirs and singers workshops and at present sings with the Nottingham Choral Trust Choral Workshop (based in Coventry) and leads "SingEasy" - a close-harmony vocal group. Always a keen sportsman and gardener, Robin still plays squash regularly in an effort to keep fit.

Megan King - Accompanist: Megan is in the Sixth Form at a local school, studying English Literature, Music, Law, Government and Politics, however, at the moment, she is undecided as to which subject she will study when moving on to university in due course.

Her musical tastes are not restricted to classical although her favourite composers are Chopin and Beethoven but she also particularly likes Rock and Folk music. She has two sisters and five cats, one of which is her own, named Mo (short for Mozart of course). She is also involved in other arts including ballet and modern dancing and is part of a local Drama Group. She hates mushrooms and spiders but other than that she is quite normal!

Our conductor, Robin Carter, said that he is very pleased that Megan has agreed to be the choir’s accompanist and is very much looking forward to working with her and hopes that she will enjoy the rehearsals. He believes that Megan will not only help the choir, but will also gain experience in a completely different form of music-making from anything she has done previously.
