Welcome

Hello and welcome to the website of the South Holland Singers. We are a medium sized, enthusiastic SATB choir with about eighty members, based in Spalding, Lincolnshire.

We enjoy a varied repertoire under the direction of Musical Director, Robin Carter. We sing, by invitation, at a number of local venues in the area, including the Parish Church of St Mary and St Nicolas and St John the Baptist Spalding. We have also sung at the South Holland Centre and Gedney and Kirton Parish churches at various times.

Choir appoints new Accompanist

The choir is pleased to announce the appointment of a new accompanist following the resignation of David Shepherd, who had been accompanist for the last 6/7 years.  The choir has been very fortunate in having David as accompanist, with his cheerfulness and competency has helped the choir with a great variety of music.  Naturally SHS is very sad at losing David but a medical condition means he has to take a break from piano work at the moment.

A new accompanist has been found and the choir is pleased to welcome Megan King who will take over forthwith. Megan's biography can be read here.

Singing members:

Rehearsal Schedule: Rehearsals are weekly on Thursdays at St Paul's School, Queen's Road, Spalding at 7.30pm.

NB Extra rehearsal with Cantemus on Saturday, 27th February 2010 at St Paul's School, Queen's Road, Spalding at 10.00am

Committee Members:

Ordinary Committee meetings will be held on Thursdays 25th March and 13th May 2010, 6.30pm at rhe school.

Minutes and Agendas will be circulated nearer the time.
